Dongnae-gu, Busan is famous for its hot springs. Among them, Heosimcheong is the largest hot spring in Korea and is located near Oncheonjang Station in Dongrae-gu, Busan. Since its opening in 1991, Heosimcheong has been known as the largest hot spring in Asia and is currently owned by Hotel Nongshim. You can guess the size just by looking at the photos taken on the way up from the 1st floor lobby, right? Photos of the inside of the bathhouse are omitted for privacy reasons. 😊 Compared to other hot springs, the scale is bigger and the facilities are excellent. Sitting in the open-air hot spring made my head cool, so it was really nice to take a half-body bath!

This vegan restaurant is located within Jangseong Market, a 5-minute walk from Jangjeon Station. It may look a bit shabby from the outside, but you can enjoy a healthy and hearty vegetarian meal using organic ingredients. Free from MSG and GMOs, run by two chefs who take turns serving healthy meals using seasonal, organic vegetables.

The meal provided this time consists of mugwort perilla soup, turmeric rice, egg rolls, Ulleungdo chwinamul, lotus root and green onion salad, citrus carrot lappe, and spring greens salad plate. It was a healthy, tasty and hearty meal. The basic size is 13,000 won and the large size is 17,000 won. Even if I ordered the standard size, it was very filling, so I was satisfied. In particular, the Ulleungdo Chwinamul felt even more delicious because it is a difficult ingredient to obtain.

After a healthy well-being meal, we recommend the Geumgang Botanical Garden for a well-being walk! This is a hidden Busan spot recommended by locals! It feels more like a primeval forest than a botanical garden. You can see green leaves, tall trees, cherry trees and various types of flowers. It feels like you are in a real forest, you can hear a lot of birdsong and there are no people, so it's good to take a quiet walk. It's the end of March, but the camellias are still blooming! Besides, there are several types. There is also a tropical botanical garden, but the exterior is old, but the atmosphere is on the side. Hallabong fruit is open inside, and you can see cacti, tropical plants, and flowers together.

If you have time, visit Geumgangsa Temple right next to Geumgang Botanical Garden. It is a small and unknown temple, but the cherry blossom trees are really beautiful, and the old pine trees, bamboo, and tea plantations make it a quiet atmosphere. There are few people, so it's nice to take a quiet walk. Every year, tea garden cultural festivals and calligraphy and painting exhibitions are held here, and a tea ceremony is held to offer tea offerings with tea leaves produced.

Busan Station Sky Square

If you have plenty of train time left at Busan Station, take a walk along the walkway that connects the second floor of Busan Station to Busan Port. Especially at night, the night view of Busan Port and downtown is very beautiful.
